Semester is DONE!

EXAMS ARE DONE!

So, I’m done for this semester.  Nine weekdays and two weekends off until Summer semester begins.  I’ll be taking two classes to wrap up my career at VCU.  I’ll be in class from 12:00 – 6:00!  AHH!  Oh well, it will be worth it.

I’ve got an A in that freshman math course – of course, I would’ve been shot had I not left that one with an A.

I feel GREAT about my TEDU 562 – Reading to Learn in the Content Areas – exam.  I was excited to take that one, too.

The exam I was most afraid of was my TEDU 521 – Teaching Middle School Mathematics – exam.  Seriously, the two previous tests did me in and left me exhausted.  I studied and studied and studied and made note cards and studied some more.  I memorized lists using acronyms, memorized activities and sweat bullets in preparation.

It wasn’t too bad.  I felt really good walking out of the exam.  I felt very prepared once I saw the exam.  Now, that isn’t to say that I wasn’t completely off base in some of my answers (sometimes that happens), but I felt GOOD – it was amazing.

So, now I’m just waiting for my grades in 562 and 521.  Holding my breath…

Exams in Swing

So, it is exam time again…just a few more of these

I’m ready for them so bring them on.  Well, maybe not so much Monday’s.

I took one yesterday and I’m feeling pretty good about it.  It was my Teaching Reading in the Content Area exam – a class that I have really loved.  That was surprising to me since I failed it miserably last semester.  My professor this semester really made an effort to make sure that the class was applicable to math majors.  It was great!

I have an exam in math this afternoon, however that is my freshman math class.  I’m going into this one with an A average (same with yesterdays) so I have very little worry.  Afterall, it is FRESHMAN math – and the math course designed for NON-math majors.  If I don’t get an A in this class, I deserve to be drawn and quartered.

Monday’s exam is the scary one!  That is my Teaching Middle School Mathematics exam and it is going to be HARD.  All of her tests are!  I’m going into the exam with a strong B, but would like to maintain that B with no struggle.  I’m a bit afraid, but will do my best.

Before that, though, I have a great weekend planned!!!

First – my new sofa and chair is going to be delivered to my house today!  Thanks to my dad for sitting at the house to meet the delivery guys.

Then – tomorrow morning my hubby and dad-in-law will pick up my new t.v. armoire (spelling?) and coffee table!

Then – Jeff and I will be joining Jerry & Kristen (Jeff’s bro & wife) to race in the first annual Great Richmond Region Adventure by Ravenchase.  It is basically an adult scavenger hunt a la National Treasure.  Check it out: http://www.ravenchase.com/grra.php.

It is going to be hectic next few days, but I AM EXCITED!!!!
